Corporate Girlie - Achievements
Managing new café openings & fundraising activities, I developed community partnerships and ran events for 29 locations, raising over $4M annually for communities across 3 USA states.
I oversaw the strategy for performance marketing brand campaigns across key paid media channels driving $38M revenue for 2019, 26% YOY revenue growth for global brands like Holiday Inn, Intercontintental, Crowne Plaza, Six Senses and more.
I organised the UK launch and strategic roll-out plan of a new global education program for 5 markets: Americas, Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Subsequent roll-out of the programme has provided over 80,000 users with barriers to entry with online education and life skills courses for free.
I learned the value and meaning of ‘getting stuck in’ when working at this start-up and small business of just 5. I sharpened my creative eye, attention to brand fundamentals, and ability to multi-task across multiple client projects leading to 6 successful website and brand VisID project deliveries for clients.
Missing the power of big brands, but wanting to stay in a small but scaling environment, I joined Venture Hotels’ support team of 20 in its first year. Along with key stakeholders in brand & marketing, I successfully delivered Greene King’s largest ever single site investment of £6M, launching a new portfolio brand to market alongside the strategy for marketing activation.
It’s Personal - Achievements
Moving countries was the best decision of my life despite 100% imposter syndrome. It broadened my perspective, encouraged adaptability and taught me how to plan and implement goals via a growth mindset.
During COVID, I joined a mental health and disability charity and was matched with a woman in my community who had Parkinson’s. I spent 2-3 hours a week visiting her and going on dog walks, learning compassionate listening and the value of woman-to-woman and cross-generational support within my community.
A serious health scare and hospital stint gave me the push to prioritise well-being. Since then, I’ve restarted yoga, lift weights weekly, and attempt to run consistently. Falling in love with the journey has inspired me to stay consistent and show up in other areas of my life, helping me realise it’s the habits we build that matter most.
I’ve recently enrolled in a 10 hour per week, after-hours personal development course at a local college. The course focuses on building conscious living into your daily routine via mindfulness, well being and manifestation practices. Conscious living and well being in, and outside of work, is a huge passion of mine.
By February, I’ll have completed 200 hours of training to become a certified Yoga Teacher — a personal development goal I’ve had for nearly a decade. I’m excited to live my values through the yoga community and would love to align my passions outside of work with purpose-driven work at Free Soul.
